Mount Rainier National Park is a picturesque wilderness covering an area of 263,000 acres around Washington's highest peak. It boasts of wildflower meadows and glaciers that add to its breathtaking beauty. This national park is a must-visit destination for nature lovers who wish to admire the stunning views and hike the surrounding area. The magnificent landscape offers incredible photo opportunities, but it's hard to capture the full splendor in pictures alone.
Seriously!!! Wow!!! Such an amazing national park. This was our first trip to Washington state and we loved it! My wife and I hiked the silver falls trail. Unfortunately the park was closed for the winter, but we were still able to hike into the park. We will definitely be returning in the summer to enjoy the entire national park

Mt Rainier is absolutely gorgeous! It is a must visit on my list! The hiking trails by the visitor center are stunning. The drive up is also beautiful with waterfalls along it. It felt so magical being up in the clouds! I went in July and there was still snow on the trails but it made the hike more fun!
Sadie C — Google review
Wow this park was incredible. Views are amazing-even from the road! There were so many different hikes (our favorite was skyline trail at paradise) and you could even find hikes that were family friendly. Make sure to add this park to your bucket list. Be aware, there’s no gas stations in the park but they do have some just outside so plan accordingly.

Unbelievably beautiful! The views were amazing from all the hiking spots around Sunshine. Sourdough ridge and a few other shorter trails had great vistas, although there was too much smoke to see the peak of Mt. Rainier the day I was there.I was thankful I had some extra layers with me, as it was very cold. It peaked at about 40F in the afternoon, despite being August. So for newbies, bring a hat and an extra jacket! The rangers there in the morning gave fantastic tips for all the trails (and some spots to sit and sketch while avoiding damaging the delicate wildlife), and the gift shop was warm and lovely after my brisk hikes.

One of my favorite national parks. Got to visit in the fall. Our hike up was consumed by foggy mist, on the way down it cleared up though so we got to take in some of the views. A must go place!
Alexa D — Google review
Easily one of the most breathtaking U.S. national parks! Mount Rainier is a sight to see at least once in your life. This park is split into different sections due to the size and layout. We spent one day in Paradise and one day in Sunrise, with some stops in between. On a sunny day, you can see Mount Rainier from most places throughout the park. A cloudy day could definitely be a bummer. Unfortunately, our day in Sunrise was all cloud. There are a ton of amazing trails of various difficulties. Just do some research and pick your favorites! Be sure to get out there early so you’re not fighting for a parking spot. And try to go in the shoulder months, if possible. We opted for mid-September. Also, be mindful of the wildlife – the chipmunks will do anything for some of your food. One last thing… the elevation is a little high at points (I started feeling the effects while hiking the Skyline Trail) so just be sure to stay hydrated and take your time. I can’t wait to go back!

The amazing place to visit. Lots of waterfalls and snow. It would be ideal to have snow shoes to climb in the mountains as it can be slippery. We didn't see any Wildlife really, but others seemed to see things like beavers and deer. Bring food as there aren't many options up there.
Sarah — Google review
Wow… this is one of the best mountain’s I have ever hiked on! We took the paradise route and it was very smooth.Once we got into the trail there were clear instructions on where to go and you couldn’t get lost inside the trail. The way up was pretty spectacular as even there were clouds the day we went up, the snowy mountains were BEAUTIFUL!On the way back down I basically sled down like a ski board and it was very enjoyable. You could even slide down on your butt for more fun. Beautiful waterfalls and forests, amazing nature.Highly recommend for everyone to come visit paradise at mount rainier national park when your in a Seattle. This is definitely a must see in Seattle!

Mount Rainier National Park is an absolute must-see if you're into the outdoors and stunning views. The park is all about Mount Rainier, a massive volcano that’s the tallest mountain in Washington. Everywhere you look, you’ll find alpine meadows, thick forests, and cool rivers fed by glaciers. The great thing about Mount Rainier is that there's something for everyone, no matter how into hiking or nature you are. The *Paradise* area is super popular and for good reason—it's beautiful, especially when the wildflowers are blooming. You can take an easy stroll along the *Nisqually Vista Trail* or go for a more intense hike on the *Skyline Trail* to get unreal views of the mountain and the valleys below. If you're up for more adventure, head to the *Sunrise* area on the east side of the park. It’s the highest point you can drive to and gives you different, but equally awesome, views of Rainier. There are some solid hikes here like *Sourdough Ridge* and *Burroughs Mountain*, perfect if you’re looking to get away from the crowds and maybe spot some wildlife.Aside from hiking, the park is perfect for camping, photography, and if you’re feeling really bold, you can try climbing to the summit. But even if you’re just there for a day trip, you’ll find plenty to do and see. Just a heads up, it can get pretty crowded at Paradise during the summer, so if you’re looking for something quieter, hit up some of the lesser-known spots or visit during the off-season.

This is a gorgeous breathtaking national park that I had the opportunity to travel to back in 2019 and would love to go back. Every view seem to be more gorgeous than the first. I loved taking pictures here but they didn't do justice to the immense beauty. It's God country and would highly recommend going here if you hare ever in the area or just make a trip here to see it and hike the area.

20 stars!Been here many times and it never gets old. Always something new. This time we went in June and there was still snow and ice out in places. Some roads were still closed at the top.We wanted to see as much as possible and the waterfalls were on my list.Wear good shoes/boots, take a camera and a jacket. Then just dive in and discover nature at its most beautiful. Literally every turn had something to offer.I'll let the photos convince you :-)Ps- pets NOT allowed. Wheelchair accessible mostly but not to good viewpoints.Price is $30 per car or free if you have the Washington National Park Pass.

Visited the South side of the National Park in a couple of hours, didn't have enough time to hike much, but saw a couple different waterfalls, used some restroom, and made it to the top of the MT.Rainer base at the Paradise Inn Lodge with a dinner hall, rock fireplaces, Grand Hall, little cafe, gift shop, and 123 rooms costing either $180 or $260 per night with incredible breathtaking views. Great place to getaway, get some fresh air, and go on an adventure with breathtaking views and hiking trails!

Beautiful park! Mount Rainier is a stunning volcano towering amongst the landscape. The winding road throughout the park is so fun to drive with lush greenery for that quintessential “Washington” vibe. The clouds cleared today to reveal a bright sunny sky with stunning views. This was my second time here and just as amazing as the first!
Alycia M — Google review
It was so much better than I even expected. The easily accessible hikes are pretty easy and super beautiful. The drive up to paradise is stunning and I loved all the view points. The entrance fee was $30 for a normal sized car. The roads are of course full of curves so drive carefully.

I will be back when the snow melts. We went peak snow days when the snow was up all the way up to their second floor of the visitor center and all the roads after that were closed. But it was absolutely amazing. Coming from Georgia where it barely snows and even if it were to, they either don't stack or doesn't last longer than a day, it was so refreshing to see so much snow and the mountains themselves were beautiful. There are native birds there too that will fly up really close to you. It was such a great experience. Also, make sure you have snow chains ready because they will check at the gate during snow seasons.

Mount Rainier National Park is simply incredible! It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. Waterfalls, Rivers, Mountain, Lakes, Forests, Wildlife, Night Sky ❤️😍- Somehow, this place feels spiritual – being surrounded by such majestic nature is profoundly moving.- The scenery is breathtaking, and the hikes are absolutely amazing.- Whether you're an experienced hiker or just looking for a nice walk with the kids, this park has something for everyone.- The trails are well-maintained, and the views are spectacular at every turn.- It's a perfect spot for a family day out or a solo adventure. I can't recommend it highly enough – it's a must-see!- Every visit leaves me in awe of nature's beauty.

We were 4 people and took the Skyline trail. The views were magical, I love nature and I love the majesty of Mountains. Mount Rainier is one of my favorite. We were lucky to spot a bear and its baby. It was superb experience, if I have the time and effort to fly again to USA (7500 miles away) I would certainly have some plans in Washington State.

One of the most scenic drives I’ve been on—I’ve been to most of the lower 48. This park is massive, not overly crowded and a nature photographers paradise. All times of day, all lighting, it just stands out like one giant masterpiece of snowy peaks and lush wooded passes. If you get the chance to go, do not hesitate.

STUNNING. This was one of my best days on my trip nor my life. I loved the climbing and site seeing in this park. this is one of the best parks in the US and my favorite by far, maybe almost as good as Yellowstone. The amazing views from this mountain are so amazing and the multiple areas to go off and explore for your self are just as good.

Mount Rainier is spectacular, with all the gorgeous views for which you might hope. Paradise Visitor Center is very well done, with great information, a good film, and a handy base for the nearby day hike trails. The trails themselves are well kept and well marked. We encountered a ranger who was literally shoveling steps in the snow to make passing through easier.
Bret F — Google review
Easily one of my favorite national parks for the vertical hikes, wildflowers, and the meeting of rock and flowing water. The paradise loop hike that goes through panoramic point is a top to hike two hike of all time for me (most pictures from there).

Breathtaking park. We went in the middle of October and the weather was perfect. Some of the roads were already closed, as well as some of the ranger stations. Overall a very good park.
Krystal W — Google review
Holy Moly that’s the most impressive mountain I have ever seen. Whether it’s from Seattle or the base in the park. The drive up to Paradise went through some impressive stands of forest on the way up to many scenic pullovers and waterfalls. I had limited time and chose to hike up the Skyline trail from the visitor Center. Three of my favourite things in the natural world, an impressive mountain, glaciers, and waterfalls. All in one breathtaking view. The trail up was paved but steep. Amazing views in all directions. A gem in the National Park system.

I absolutely love hiking at Mount Rainier National Park. I grew up in Washington, and seeing the mountain in the distance. It is such a majestic place. I moved to Arizona and miss seeing and exploring the mountain.
Chris K — Google review
The most popular hike spot near Seattle and has a good reason to be. It's a beautiful place during the fall and is ethereal during the winter and spring, completely covered with snow until early June. Good for hiking, camping, day trips.
Dinesh K — Google review
We visited in June 2024 and the park now requires timed entry. There were plenty of slots still available during the week, but the weekends were full so plan accordingly. I recommend entering on the west or north entrance to have an easy drive through the park with minimal backtracking. The area is absolutely gorgeous, with several visible waterfalls from the road and several more that are easy to access on short trails. The park was busy, but never felt too crowded. Be sure to stop at Narada Falls and Box Canyon. Both were breathtaking.

Simply amazing to explore! We didn’t get to see it all but will definitely be back. Amazing views at just about every corner . We stopped at Reflect Lake and the wind disappeared for amazing pictures. Hiked to Myrtle Falls which I highly recommend. Plenty of parking there if you arrive early but it fills up fast and is one way so if you go too far, you’ll have to loop around. Plenty of beautiful falls to see and hike to. Unfortunately the Grove of the Patriarchs was closed so we didn’t get to see that. Currently on timed entry so be sure to get that before you come here. Would suggest getting in as early as possible for vest parking and lower crowds. We checked the night before and they opened up some more tickets which we were able to upgrade to an earlier slot! We will be back here for sure.
Randy M — Google review
Beautiful views, fun trails, and bold chipmunks. Not quite as fun on the way down. The visitor center got crowded in the middle of the day, but the timed entry process made it very quick and easy to get into the park and actually drive up to the key points without trouble or traffic.
Rahul J — Google review
Stunning views, not very busy although you won't be alone. A lot of wild life on the trails and around. Camp was nice and clean and we enjoyed the whole trip. A lot of trails available so definitely worth coming back or staying multiple days.
Dominik P — Google review
Beautiful park that is a two hour drive ish from Seattle. Be sure to get there early because there will be huge line of people trying to get in. We got there around 9 and it took over an hour to get to the gate. There also might be people along the line trying to sell you some cherries. Place is beautiful but when going in the summer it will be crowded at all the easy to access place which might be a turn off for some. Lots of wildlife to see as you pass by which is really fun

Breathtaking, don't miss! I have travelled around 30 countries and I can say this place is on my top 5 favourite.Such a treat for nature and hiking lovers, the beauty if the snow filled mountains, waterfalls and tall trees takes you to a different world. Don't miss visiting paradise point for its stunning views. There are few more view points on the way.

Amazing park, would highly recommend getting tickets in advance and going early or after 5pm. Reservations were needed between 7am - 3pm. We got there at 3pm and waited 1hr 45min to enter. We entered through Paradise side. Lots of waterfalls and hikes to pick from. Visitor center has nice trail to a waterfall and also great view of the mountain and wildflowers. It's busy but would highly recommend.

O Mount Rainier National Park. What a beauty you are. The drive in is all green, beautiful lush forest. Lovely. Drive into the park, then you hit paradise. Literally the city, but I like to call it paradise as well. Last couple of turns, and then boom there she is beautiful Mount Rainier. Standing all by herself, peeking out of the forest, completely covered in snow in the middle of July. Great hike, I will warn you. This is a paved path, but the incline is very steep. You will see people walking backwards sideways, we even saw a woman crying on the way down. This is not for the faint of heart. Very tiring trail, but a lovely, lovely payoff. When you get past the trees highly recommended, go see it, go see it now.
LAND R — Google review
This is a great National Park. The main visitor center is spacious and well laid out, and it has food for purchase. The trails and roads offer excellent views. Some of the trails are paved.Getting into the park had a bit of a wait on a September Sunday afternoon, simply because of large crowds. The walks from the lower parking lots to the Visitor Center are pretty long, but the views while walking are fantastic.Plan to spend at least a full day at Mt. Rainier. Get there early to beat the crowds.
Sheryl C — Google review
Breathtaking! Lots of trails with different difficulties. Very easy to drive around during spring and summer. I went for a picnic but you cannot sit at most sites and eat, so I found a remote spot and had a picnic in my trunk
Huma F — Google review
When I arrived at Mt. Rainier last week (21/05/24) there was still a lot of snow on the mountain. The temp was around 45 degree F, or 7 degree C. When we reached the visitor center, it was cloudy at Mt. Rainier, so the weather was overcast. We had actually planned to hike at Skyline Trail, but it was not possible because it was still covered in quite a thick snow.
Hendy G — Google review
There really isn’t anything I can say that hasn’t already been said about this park. But so would still like to emphasize how beautiful it is. The hikes have great views and the scenic drives and viewpoints are beautiful. If you are in Washington it is worth spending a day here.

Amazing place. Great trails, waterfalls amazing nature. The timed entry system is great for ensuring it is not too crowded and can be enjoyed.Make sure you have your pass and timed entry ticket (unless you enter before 7am or after 3pm)

This is one of the best National Parks I have ever been to. Mount Rainier is breathtakingly beautiful. The Skyline trail was covered with snow even in July. With the right gear (ice spikes, poles), this trail can be one of the most gorgeous trails you can do!

Just an absolute beauty of a National Park! One of the best and a must visit if you are visiting the Seattle area. Words cannot describe how beautiful the views are. If you have the chance, definitely stop by both corridors (Paradise and Sunrise). They both offer different views of the mountain and both locations have amazing hikes that let you enjoy the park to the max! Mount Rainier is iconic to the state of Washington for a reason!

The mountain was amazing. I went in early August, and it was great. It's a very popular national park, so expect a lot of people, but not very many parking spots. The visitor centers are quite crowded, and the food isn't that great, to be completely honest. The views were nice, and it wasn't that difficult of a hike to get up to the scenic areas. The animals are quite used to people and will approach you regardless of whether you have food or not. But remember to not feed them, because they will start depending on people for their food, rather than naturally scavenging it. If you see any small rock cairns near the river, knock them over, as they are unnatural to the environment. It's fine to build them, just make sure to knock it over after.
DaBaby — Google review
Absolutely amazing! My only regret is that I didn’t have more time. Hiking was incredible and unforgettable.

I visited on 18th May, it was an amazing experience. The waterfalls, the snow, the drive - all of it was amazing. To add cherry on the top, it was snowing when i went there. When you enter the national park, you would have to drive another 19 miles to the Paradise Point, there you can do snow based activities. Would definitely recommend ❤️❤️

There is, quite literally, nothing I could say that hasn't been said and isn't more easily explained visually. Pictures don't and cannot capture the beauty of the mountain, of the park, or of the trails.Paradise is, by far, the most magical area in the entirety of the Pacific Northwest. Even if the mountain isn't visible, the trail is breathtaking. If you have even a modicum of cardiovascular fitness, you absolutely must hike the entire thing before you leave. You just have to.It gets cold as you get close to the mountain, even in summer. There is standing snow. Dress accordingly. Bring food and water. This takes an entire day. Let me reiterate, hiking the entire trail can be tough so wear comfortable shoes.Even if you leave early, you will experience heavy traffic at Paradise and parking can be a miserable experience. That said, it's worth the irritation and much more to see this place.
Laque C — Google review
This park was everything I imagined it would be! It was lush, green, and gorgeous! The mountain is spectacular!!! The glaciers are so cool to see!! All the hikes we took were great. Even the drive is breathtaking!!Bring a lunch as food options are limited. No dogs allowed on most trails.

When I come here I drive at night or early morning so no need for reservations. 7am to 3pm you need to reserve. I have a lifetime military pass so it’s free to enter. My favorite mountain to climb. Been to the summit multiple times via different routes. Been to Camp Muir dozens of times. The only thing is a lot of tourists on the trails near paradise. So just take your time and be patient with them. I’ve done Camp Muir in the winter and saw only one other person. Beautiful all year round. The museum is really cool! The gift shop in the hotel is really busy. I went on a Tuesday the last time I hiked to Camp Muir. Everyone was nice.

We went to Mount Rainier yesterday, May 18, 2024, and it was still snowing. If you want to climb, make sure you have the proper gear for climbing in the snow.Be careful, especially since the trees are covered in snow; you might easily fall.Make sure to bring gloves, winter jacket, proper shoes, and a trekking pole for balance in the snow. Some tourists bring their own trekking poles. At the Paradise visitor center, it has a warm room, a small theater, a cafeteria where you can also order food, a gift shop, and restrooms. The best time to come is in August or fall. There's a trail you can follow, and you'll only need to bring winter jackets for your hike. You'll have a clear view of the scenic beauty of Mount Rainier, and you'll really enjoy your trip with all the flowers, evergreen trees, wild animals from afar, and a waterfall from the melting snow.

It was a bliss driving through the National Park.. it was an outstanding, wonderful and breathtaking experience.. we arrived very late in the evening around 7-8 pm and ended up catching a glimpse of the sunset behind the mountain.. words can’t express the feeling and awe just standing and staring at the mountain and nature around. Driving back we stopped by as we saw snow on the side and I thought I captured the best night shot like I have seen in some painting.. let me know if you think the same too..

Although it was cloudy for a lot of the time the beauty of this place is amazing. Lots of hiking trails, the loop is about 6 miles to the top of the mtn and back down with views all the way around. There are lots of waterfalls too that are easily accessible from the road.

Such a beautiful park and it’s easy to see why it’s so highly rated. We camped at Cougar Creek, it’s only FCFS after the high season and we were able to snag a spot Thursday eve. From the campground it’s an easy 5~10 min drive up to the Paradise parking lot. We had no issues finding a parking spot at Paradise on Friday morning, but as we left the park Saturday morning it was all full! And there was a line of cars several miles outside the park waiting to get in! So plan accordingly. Came specifically to hike the Skyline Trail and it did not disappoint!!

Visited the Rainier ( Paradise corridor) during May. It was too cold and snowing. Best time for skiing.Do buy the entry ticket ( Paradise Corridor Timed Entry Reservation).I guess we don’t need to purchase the entry ticket post 5pm PST.Also do check out the food at Wildberry restaurant on the way to Rainier. The owner of the restaurant is a Guinness World Record for fastest ascent of Mount Everest.

One of the most beautiful parks I have ever been to, and I've been to most of the national parks. Water was flowing everywhere, you can't count the number of falls just of the side of the road. The old growth forest near the base are beautiful, and I can't say enough about the views of the mountain. What a sight that must've been for early explorers, and how fortunate I am to see it.

Get there early, parking gets crazy. Make sure to get your timed entrance reservation. Beautiful area! Reflection lake was perfect, great shots of Mt. Rainier, snow and bench lake were amazing! Was able to complete the skyline trail, and the snow lake hike with to kiddos.

One of the best national parks! Mountains, lakes, streams, waterfalls, moose, elk, bears, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, camping, and so much more. Hiking the canyons is especially amazing. My highlights were Cascade Canyon, Lake Solitude (ironically very busy), the Schoolroom Glacier, and canoeing Leigh/String Lakes.

Military/Veterans make sure to get your free pass to all national parks so you can your family can save the $35 to enter. A great park overshadowed by its more popular brother north of it. Definitely more of a hiking park than a sightseeing one. Most of the picturesque views require at least some hiking instead of just parking and a brisk walk like other parks.

What an incredible park! The mountain range is absolutely stunning! Sunrise should be spent at Schwabacher Trail and Jenny Lake is a must visit. Check in on the boat shuttle at Jenny Lake before planning some trails around the area. There's plenty of moose at Moose Junction and you'll catch a bear or two at sundown! Take a nice drive or bike ride down the scenic road near Jenny Lake.

It’s a gorgeous park, but I highly recommend any visitors to try to go during the weekday. The weekend is crowded, which dims the joy of being outdoors. The road ways are straightforward and easy to follow.

What an amazing park! There was still snow when we went first of May but the Teton road was open! The drive is amazing and very scenic and there are many pullovers! Saw lots of wildlife and the mountains are beautiful! Highly recommended!

I loved my stayed at Grant Teton. We got to hike Delta lake, the trail and lake were amazing. I would highly recommend this park for anyone that loves to hike and explore. The delta lake trail is very hard, but the view is very rewarding. Hidden Falls is a very easy hike but has a nice waterfall. I highly recommend this park.

One of our top national parks. It’s also a short drive from our RV Park “The Park at Swan Valley”.So many great hikes around Jenny Lake. We hiked round trip to the falls and didn’t do the ferry. Our 3 1/2 yr old walked most of the way on that hike

Rising above a scene rich with extraordinary wildlife, pristine lakes, and alpine terrain, the Teton Range stands as a monument to the people who fought to protect it. These are mountains of the imagination. Mountains that led to the creation of Grand Teton National Park where you can explore over two hundred miles of trails, float the Snake River, and enjoy the serenity of this remarkable place.

Beautiful country. Great camping. Nice people. Amazing mountains. There is a fee to enter the main park, but I had an America the Beautiful pass that got me in. So I'm not sure what the fee is. I think $10 per car.

I believe it is a 35 dollar cost to enter the park unless you have a national park pass. The park is just beautiful. The mountains are stunning. There was not a spot we went to that was not stunning. Saw some deer and elk having some breakfast on the side of the road. Jenny Lake is as stunning as the mountains. I highly recommend spending some time admiring the beauty of this national park

Just a beautiful park. The views are mesmerizing and unforgettable. We were there on a clear day and the sun was out. Just an overall surreal experience. You must go to Mormon Row and see the backdrop that some of the earlier settlers enjoyed.

This is a must visit if you are into the great outdoors. We camped here for 4 nights and loved it. While fly fishing, we Caught trout right out of the river next to the camp. Moose and deer galore. Teton Village and Jenny lake were amazing. A short drive to Yellowstone.

All I can say is it is magical in the winter. The mountains are majestic! The wildlife is amazing. I went snowshoeing with a Ranger and loved it. I would highly recommend visiting any time of year.

Wonderful place. Nice trails, great views. Will be crowded in the summer so be ready if you stick to popular trails. Cell service is spotty at best, but expected in a NP. You will love this place.

We loved this National Park! Wish we could have spent more time here! We visited in mid-June and the weather was great. We enjoyed using our stand up paddle board at String Lake (make sure you get the proper inspection first!), and we very much appreciated the miles of paved bike paths that we were able to safely ride along with our two young kids in their bike trailer. Can't wait to return when they're older to try some of the incredible hikes!

Loved, loved, loved it! So beautiful! Highly recommend everyone to find a way to get here. Jennie Lake is crystal clear and irresistible, bring your bathing suit. There is a boat shuttle across the lake that takes you to a waterfall. Unfortunately we did not go. Nice Visiting Center, Gift Shop and plenty of bathrooms. Picnic areas are nice and lots of pull offs.

Majestic! This has been on my bucket list for years. Have passed it but never went through the park. It did not disappoint. Take the time to stop at pullouts and enjoy the panorama, the flowers, the wildlife. Catch a sunset. Take a hike around the lakes. Truly amazing.

Beautiful views! The trails are great. The lakes are clear and pretty. The mountains are gorgeous. There are shorter, easier trails for kiddos and longer trails for adults. Inspiration point was a view worth the hike.

It’s adjacent National park to Yellowstone stone National park and has its own magnificent nature of mountains and grass land which inhabits elk, moose, bison and many more wild animals. It has very great view. Don’t miss to visit the Jenny lake hike and Jackson hole village.

I’ve been hiking these mountains since I was a kid. One of the most beautiful places to visit, and if you can avoid the touristy seasons by going in September or October it’s even better. Highly recommend the Cascade Canyon hikes all the way up to Hurricane Pass, or coming from the Idaho side and visiting Table Mountain. Not easy hikes but backpacking in Alaska Basin was also an awesome experience.

Spectacular majestic snow capped mountains. Hiking around Jenny Lake and up to Inspiration Point was lovely! I experienced the freshest air I've ever breathed in the Tetons. I love this park!

The Snake River Overlook is the iconic photography spot in the park, but every area of this park offers stunning views of the majestic Teton Mountain Range. There are also numerous opportunities to see Buffalo, Elk, and Wolves.

The last time we went through Yellowstone we skipped Grand Teton National Park and headed straight to Missoula because I was tired of camping. I never lived it down! It took almost 10 years to make it back, but it was worth the wait! What breathtaking views! The hike to Hidden Falls at Jenny Lake is a must. If you get tired, take the ferry back, but don't take it both ways. You would miss out on the experience of hiking there, and also it's $12 each way. We stayed in the National Park campground and it was really nice. The toilets were surprisingly clean. No showers, but there is a shower building by the general store, but expect to pay $5 per shower. Bear spray is generally recommended at Grand Teton. If you can purchase it ahead of time, you should. You'll pay $50 anywhere at the park. There is a small grocery store attached to the gift shop where you can buy pretty much everything you need. This Park is becoming more popular than ever, so expect it to be crowded. Expect the ferries to be full, so go on your hikes early.

We drove along the whole Oregon trail and it was such an educational experience! My son loved it and The Grand Tetons were a stopping point along the way. I highly recommend you map out a trip like this.

This is the most beautiful National park I have ever visited. I personally feel it is little under rated because of the shines of yellow stone National park. But what a beauty, the snow cap on the mountains is amazing. The barn with the snow is like a paradise, if you are in this park make sure you go the barn and take the picture. The most beautiful views are there. Be sure to go to Jenny lake the views are breathtaking.A must visit national park in USA.

The snow-capped mountains were beautiful! I highly recommend you download the GuideAlong app and buy the tour for Yellowstone and Grand Teton Ntl parks. The guide had us go to places I know we would have missed without the guided tour.

5/30/24-6/1/24 Such an Incredibly Beautiful park, with many Breathtaking Mountain Views. Also many trails to hike up the mountains, only to find Many more Amazing Views looking out and away. My Wife and I pitched a tent at the on site campgrounds for 3 nights. We found this to be as convenient as one could only hope for. We spent 3-1/2 days hiking around the park, this was plenty sufficient time to see everything we wanted plus more. We were able to get very nice pictures of 5 different animals here. Highly Recommend Grand Teton National Park, definitely a Must to take a trip here. We really enjoyed making this stop part of a 4 park road trip.

What an amazing National Park. I've been to 45 of the 51 National Parks that are in the Continuous 48 states. This is definitely a top 5 favorite. It has a bit of everything for everyone. There are so many hikes for all levels. Camping from primitive to full Rv service. Boating, educational programs, scenic drives, and so much more. One of my favorites was String Lake to Hidden Falls. There is parking at String Lake, unlike Jenny Lake, because it's so busy. You also hike right along the edge of Jenny Lake, and hardly anyone was hiking there. In 2 hrs. we passed 3 couples until you hit the boat dock where they bring all the people for the falls. We also enjoyed watching the moose eat on Moose Wilson Rd. Also, don't forget to drive to the top of Signal Mountain and visit the National Elk Refuge. Highly recommend spending some time in this National Park.

Absurdly beautiful park. Lots to do, whether it's hiking, sightseeing, riding the boat across Jenny Lake, sunbathing at Leigh Lake, or enjoying some food and drink at one of the several lodges. I visited for a full day, and I still feel like I barely scratched the surface for what there was to do. I did several hikes around the lakes, saw some stellar views, a family of moose, and beautiful scenery. 100% recommended!

Last year my wife and I went to the Teton mountains, we had planned this trip in 2022 and it just so happened to be my 50th. anniversary of visiting the park for the first time as a teenager. The Tetons are my most favorite mountain range ever since that 1973 family vacation and I named my first dog a Wolf/Husky hybrid after those mountains. It was a 14 day trip as we took our time going out there and spending a week in the park. We also did the Lake Solitude hike as well. Wyoming is one of my favorite states, I guess there's a bit of Cowboy in me. We'll eventually go out west again and maybe go through the park just to get another fix of the splendid grandeur.

Breathtaking! The Tetons are one of the most amazing things to see. Pictures do not do them justice seeing them in person is a must. The hike around the Tetons is a great experience. The Mural Room at Jackson Lake Lodge is nice dinning with views of Tetons and great food.

This national park has immediately skyrocketed to my top 3 national parks visited. How did I miss this place for so many years?! Every outlook view? Astoundingly gorgeous. The $35 entrance fee to the scenic route? Beyond worth it. Visitors center and introductory video? Super helpful and inspiring. Crowds at Jenny Lake? Ok, didn’t know about that ahead of time, but now I do. We only had one day, so we hit the best spots as well as we could. But dang, we barely scratched the surface. We will be back. With backpacks and a permit. And bear spray. I can’t wait.

This park offers some of the best views of any mountain range in the U.S. You can make it a quick drive-through or spend days hiking the many trails. It's located 30 minutes south of Yellowstone and offers the same great chance to see some unique wildlife.

Spectacular! Many miles of hiking trails, every level, with fantastic views. Definitely worth a few days minimum to explore. My favorite, Death Canyon and Cascade Canyon. Two of the more difficult hikes, but well worth it!

The Grand Tetons is a great park if you don't have a lot of time to enjoy a park as large as Yellowstone. A lot of it is drivable although there are some really nice hiking trails that range from 2 to 3 mi to over 8 mi. The views are great and definitely not a busy as Yellowstone.

Grand Teton National Park is a winter wonderland not to be missed. Snow-capped peaks, frozen lakes, We only did Jenny lake and Taggert lake. I loved the serene forests that create a magical scene. Enjoy activities like snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, my friend and I hiked 15 miles total, dress cozy. The night sky is also mesmerizing, we didn’t see any wildlife and it wasn’t as crowded, but I can’t wait to see the park at a different time a year.

Great national park experience... we saw bison, elk, moose. Great views of Grand Teton not surrounded or hidden in the clouds. A terrific visitors center with great exhibits and displays about the geography, the first settlements, and the wildlife & plants. We stayed in Jackson and visited the park minutes away.

Very pretty place. All of the park rangers we interacted with were very sweet. We hiked a good 5 miles on the Jenny Lake Trail. I would recommend this one if you want to get a good view of the lake and some of the peaks. Also included a beautiful waterfall. Some areas were a tad narrow but overall a very comfortable hike.We saw a moose and a beaver looking thing.

This park is far more scenic than it's northern neighbor. The mountains are a beauty that you can enjoy from almost literally anywhere in the park. Technically you can enter some of the park without paying the entry fee if you're driving north from Jackson. Stay at Colter Bay for the most amenities, Signal Mountain for plenty of amenities closer to the main area, and Jenny Lake ONLY if you plan to go into Cascade Canyon multiple times. Otherwise the area isn't worth the noise and traffic. The bison heard basically lives in the area around Elk Ranch Flats. Spend at least four days exploring the park.

What an incredible front door for Yellowstone! To pass through the Tetons to get to Yellowstone, you might convince yourself that it just canyon get much better than this...... and then it does! The Tetons are amazing and peaceful! Watch for wildlife and crazy folks going around the hairpins. The photo opportunities are endless!

Obviously this is an absolutely amazing place! I was here in late August. The weather is warm but not hot and it wasn’t too crowded. I hiked, kayaked, and cycled and recommend all of them!As with any popular place, the earlier you arrive the easier it is to find parking and avoid most of the crowds. Around 3PM is when things start to lighten up for the day.

One of the most majestic places on this planet and also one of the most underrated national parks in the US simply because it's next to Yellowstone. A few tips for visitors:1) Summer is a good time to visit but it's very crowded. Late fall to early winter is the best time because you have less crowds but roads are still open and you see lots of undisturbed wildlife.2) Lodging gets expensive in spring and summer so book ahead. Jackson Hole is expensive so you can try the nearby small towns.
Steven P — Google review
First time visitor, and it was amazing in the spring! We managed to observe a diverse range of wildlife such as grizzlies, moose, red fox, elk, and birds. We also enjoyed the informative visitor centre. Truly surreal!

I will be the one 3 star review here. I was sad that you can't drive up into the mountains. The entire drivable park is on the east side of the range. This isn't like Rocky Mountain National Park or Glacier National Park, where you get to go into the mountains. Here, they are just a photo op, unless you are a die hard hiker with bottled oxygen and gear. It was beautiful, yes, but I feel like we were short changed that we could only scale a small 8k "hill" nearby and not any of the Tetons themselves.
Mike B — Google review
I have never seen such an amazing mountain range before! The Mormon Row was so stunning, and it was really cool to know that it’s a very famous spot for screensavers and people and getting the chance to see it in the flesh made me so happy! Not all of the pics featured were taken directly inside the park, but I still count it because of how stunning everything was. ❤️

Views are amazing (better than those of Yellowstone imo). The mountains ⛰️ and lakes 🛶 are just so pristine! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and get a chance. I highly recommend Jenny Lake, but make sure to plan ahead because the crowds 👥 get crazy there!!

Grand Teton features high mountains, glacier and lakes, very different from nearby Yellowstone. I think 1) Jenny Lake / Cascade Canyon; 2) Phelps Lake / Death Canyon; and 3) Mormon Row are the most beautiful. Even better during sunset or right after rain.
